Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)
Do you know when you should get tested? If you are experiencing burning, itching, painful urination, sores, or other signs of an STD and are sexually active you should be tested. Please see your doctor or access one of the free resources below.
There are several ways to prevent STDs if you are sexually active including abstinence, protective barriers and vaccines the CDC is a good resource for more information.
There are vaccinations that help to prevent some STDs such as mpox, HPV and Hepatitis B
There is a National Strategic Plan for 2021-2025 and STI Federal Implementation Plan both are full of interesting information.

NCDHD Services
NCDHD offers vaccines in our clinic in O'Neill on Thursdays from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Additionally, traveling clinic dates and times are listed on our events calendar. Please call ahead to ensure vaccine availability. NCDHD accepts most insurances.
