SNAP Benefits in Nebraska May Be Delayed Because of Federal Government Shutdown
The federal government shutdown, which started on October 1, 2025, may cause delays in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits for November. October SNAP benefits went out as normal, but starting October 29, new SNAP payments will pause. November benefits will not be added to EBT cards until the shutdown ends and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) gives approval for benefits to be sent out again.
